The Perfect Limassol for Singles

Cyprus unlocked
The second biggest city in Cyprus or the diamond of the Mediterranean, as it was recently portrayed in The New York Times, has two faces: one that reveals its cosmopolitan flair and the other unfolds its great history. No matter which one you choose to look at, Limassol will leave you feeling hypnotized by its beauty.

1. Seize the day!

If you subscribe to the fitness mania cult, then enjoy an early morning run or spin on your bicycle on Limassol’s coastal road. Enjoy the first freddo espresso of the day looking out towards the sea and palm trees at the Yellow Cafe, and try the best brunch –homemade burger and eggs benedict with bacon– at the minimalistic Cookhouse, in Gladstonos arcade. Veranda welcomes you in a cool garden with flawless french provincial style, and its pure flavors make it an ideal pit stop for a quick snack or desert!

2. Swimming, drinking, dancing and... Repeat

People watching, sunbathing, invigorating swims and watersports, like windsurfing, rowing, sailing and canoe-kayak are only some of the attractions of the Limassol Nautical Club. A few kilometers down the road, near Pentakomo, lies the Governor’s Beach, where in the past stood the summer house of an English –guess what?– Governor. Its sandy coves with clear and shallow waters make it a favorite spot of those who are looking for a special landscape, while the impressive white rocks make it ideal for those who love fishing and diving. A great alternative is the intimate sandy beach of Plus Sea and it will be an added joy if you manage to snatch one of the red wooden sunbeds of the Plus Sea café that somehow have managed to become a trademark of the city. However if your idea of a great holidays is rather of the laid-back lifestyle type and you are looking for relaxation, great cuisine, all in one place 24/7, then you must visit the stylish pool of Columbia Beach bar-restaurant and stay up until late, soaking in the intense feelings of summer, loud music and ice cold shots. Finally, don’t forget to end one of your evenings at the famous restaurant La Isla for fusion dishes and a unique view overlooking both the sea and the restaurant’s pool!

3. Limassol by night

Do you enjoy staying up until late and getting jiggy until sunrise? If so, then this summer you’ve made the right choice because Limassol is famed for its exciting nightlife. One of the most popular spots among locals is Rumors, a place that combines good music, fine cocktails and a very upbeat and young crowd that never stops dancing to mainstream tunes. The seaside Bedroom awaits for you clad in white and decorated with ethnic elements, to sip your drink right by the waves. If you want to see and be seen, then look no further than VIP Room Exclusive Club, a place famous for its parties and good music. Guaba Beach Bar is a synonym for wild partying 24/7 with the best djs of the world taking over the decks. However,if you’re in the mood for Greek music, then book a table at seaside Breeze Summer Club.
